  25.  A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
  26.  directories. This draft is a work item of the Uniform Resource Names
  27.  Working Group of the IETF.
  28.
  29.        Title     : Using Existing Bibliographic Identifiers as
  30.                    Uniform Resource Names
  31.        Author(s) : C. Lynch, C. Preston, R. Daniel
  32.        Filename  : draft-ietf-urn-biblio-00.txt

  35.
  36. A system for Uniform Resource Names (URNs) must be capable of supporting
  37. identifiers from existing widely-used naming systems.  This document
  38. discusses how three major bibliographic identifiers (the ISBN, ISSN and
  39. SICI) can be supported within the URN framework and the currently proposed
  40. syntax for URNs.
  41.
  42. Internet-Drafts are available by anonymous FTP.  Login with the username
  43. "anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address.  After logging in,
  44. type "cd internet-drafts" and then
  45.      "get draft-ietf-urn-biblio-00.txt".
  46. A URL for the Internet-Draft is:
  47. ftp://ds.internic.net/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-urn-biblio-00.txt
  48.
  49. Internet-Drafts directories are located at:
  50.
  51.      o  Africa:  ftp.is.co.za
  52.
  53.      o  Europe:  ftp.nordu.net
  54.                  ftp.nis.garr.it

  63.
  64. Send a message to:  mailserv@ds.internic.net. In the body type:
  65.      "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-urn-biblio-00.txt".
  66.
  67. NOTE: The mail server at ds.internic.net can return the document in
  68.       MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility.  To use this
  69.       feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
  70.       command.  To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
  71.       a MIME-compliant mail reader.  Different MIME-compliant mail readers
  72.       exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
  73.       "multipart" MIME messages (i.e., documents which have been split
  74.       up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
  75.       how to manipulate these messages.

  77.
  78.
  79. Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
  80. implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version
  81. of the Internet-Draft.
